Eliminate The Bad Odor From Dabs

Will dabbing leave an odor?

Cannabis flower, edibles, concentrates such as wax and shatter, and cannabis-infused topicals all can leave an odor. The smell of cannabis can vary greatly depending on the strain, with some being very pungent and skunky while others are more mild and sweet.

The odor from cannabis edibles is generally less strong than that of flower or concentrates, but it still may linger if not properly stored. Cannabis-infused topicals also have a distinct aroma that may be noticeable when applied to the skin. Like other cannabis products, dabs can leave a distinct smell too. Here’s what you should know about it:

Do cannabis dabs leave a smell?

Cannabis dabs can leave a smell. The smell is similar to that of marijuana smoke and may linger in the air for several hours after dabbing. The smell is often described as skunky, earthy, and pungent. I don't know about you, but I love that ish!

How to deal with a cannabis dab smell?

Dab smell can be unpleasant and overpowering, so it is important to take care of the smell for both comfort and convenience. Taking steps such as using a dab rig with an airtight seal, using activated charcoal filters or odor-absorbing materials like baking soda, regularly cleaning your equipment, and ventilating the room when dabbing can help reduce odors.

1. Ventilate the room

Open up windows and doors to allow fresh air to circulate throughout the area. This will help reduce the smell of cannabis as well as any smoke that may linger in the air. Additionally, using a fan to help circulate the air can be beneficial. You can also try burning incense or scented candles to help mask the smell of cannabis.

2. Use an Air Purifier

An air purifier is a great way to remove odors from your home or space, including cannabis dab smells. Look for one with a carbon filter which can be especially effective at filtering out odors like those caused by dabs and other smokable herbs. Air purifiers with a HEPA filter can also be effective at filtering out smaller particles, such as smoke and other airborne pollutants. Additionally, using an air freshener or candle along with the air purifier can help to further minimize odors in your home or space.

3. Incense or Scented Candles

Using incense or scented candles can mask some of the smell associated with cannabis dabs while also adding a pleasant aroma to your home or space. Just make sure you don’t leave them burning unattended! Additionally, using an air freshener designed to eliminate odors can help reduce the smell of dabs in your home.

4. Smoke Outdoors

If possible, try smoking outdoors where there is more ventilation and less likelihood of lingering smells indoors afterwards. If you must smoke indoors, make sure to open windows for better ventilation and use air fresheners or other odor-eliminating products to help reduce the smell of smoke. It also helps to have a designated smoking area in your home that can be easily cleaned and aired out afterwards.
